Gunnison is seeking energetic and dedicated team member to lead, manage, and supervise our Enterprise Help Desk Program in support of our largest client in a long term program with our client in Suitland, MD.

Location: Suitland, MD - Easily Accessible by car or Metro, free parking.

IT Service Desk Lead


The Enterprise IT Service Desk is the central point of contact between users and service providers. The IT Service Desk provides customer support in three main areas: software assistance, network services and information requests / status updates. The IT Service Desk receives an average of 8,000 10,000 calls each month.

IT Service Desk Lead


  • Assist in hiring and training staff.
  • Interface with client to ensure project remains on target
  • Manage Help Desk Service Desk personnel and activities
  • Provide and review metrics on Service Desk efficiency
  • Write monthly reports
  • Monitor budget burn rates
  • Generate invoices.


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a Service Desk
  • Preferred degree in Computer Science or Information Technology field
  • ITIL Certification
  • HDI Certification
  • Experience working with customers, gathering and understanding customer requirements
  • Experience in fostering and managing customer relationships
  • Experience in written and/or verbal communication (reports) to peers, stakeholders, and management
  • Ability to pass a US Government Background investigation (national agency check, Secret or TS not required).
